Proof Reading

Whether it’s lettered pages, promotional copy, or introduction material for your comic, reviewing this type of content for typos and readability falls under the proof reading umbrella.

Substantive Editing

This is a proof read combined with a more substantive look at your comic, and generally would come earlier in the creation process. Perhaps you have a plot or script nearly ready, but before you hand it off to your artist you want some quality input. Or page roughs are done and a neutral third party is needed to assess if things visually work the way they’re intended.

And maybe you’re a one (wo)man show and need input throughout the process from plot to final pages. In all of these cases, I will advise on readability, direction, pacing, character development, and other pillars of story and art, as well as address any specific questions you may have.

At this level I’m also happy to help put together and write the promotional packet content for inclusion in Diamond’s Previews catalog.
$25/hour
